It’s a steep climb up to Sundial Peak in Utah’s Wasatch Mountains. After making the three mile, 3,000 vertical foot hike and trying to find the best reflection in the mountain lake beneath the peak, I wandered back toward the trail to rest and take in the view. I was rewarded with this image. Sometimes the best image is not the one we originally set out to capture, but can be found by turning around to look at the scene from a different point of view.
