ZION FALL COTTONWOOD

Beautiful bright yellow cottonwood trees fed by the moisture of the Virgin River fill Zion Canyon each year during late October and early November.

The cottonwoods are not alone in their dependence on the waters of the Virgin River.  Zion Canyon is home to a wide variety of plant life, wild life, and a thriving community all reliant on its’ life giving waters.  Even the canyon itself has the river to thank for its’ wide diversity of geologic form.
