Located on the high elevations of the Colorado Plateau, Bryce Canyon’s formations are comprised of 60 million year old sedimentary material. ¬†Ancient cracks from the upheaval of the high plateau have slowly been eroded by water, ice, and gravity into the hoodoo formations we see today.

At the edges of the day when the sun is low to the horizon, light bounces freely amongst the rocks creating a magical glow as if these cold, silent sentinels have suddenly been set ablaze.
