CEDAR MOUNTAIN SUNSET VIEW
Cedar Breaks National Monument is located above Cedar City, Utah with the canyon rim sitting at over 10,000 feet in elevation. I’ve heard it referred to as “Little Bryce Canyon” due to the similarities between this and the more popular National Park not too far away, but this canyon is little sibling to no one.
Probably the most striking feature to me is the brilliant orange, red, and white [and spectrum of color in between] color of the eroded sandstone cliffs and formations set in stark contrast to the dense pine forested mountains above and beyond their reach. The pine forest is as dense at the upper canyon rim as it is at the lower edges and is divided just as abruptly.
